Welder - Day Shift - $18-$20/HR (DOE)Location: Harrisburg, ORSchedule: Day Shift | Full-Time | Manufacturing / Fabrication A local manufacturing company in the Harrisburg area is seeking dependable Welders to join their team. This role involves performing a variety of welding and fabrication tasks while following detailed specifications and safety standards. Ideal candidates will be comfortable working with metal components, operating shop equipment, and collaborating with team members to complete projects efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Set up and position pre-fitted parts for welding Perform hand welding and brazing operations on various metals and alloys Read and interpret basic drawings, prints, specifications, and welding symbols Measure and mark work pieces using tools such as straightedges, rulers, and calipers Select proper electrodes, rods, and tips based on material type and welding requirements Operate shop equipment including welding machines, grinders, and cutting tools Use forklifts or cranes to move materials and completed components when needed Work with supervisors and team members to maintain production schedules Follow welding safety standards and equipment operating procedures Equipment Used: Welding equipment Forklifts and overhead cranes Grinders and lathes Plasma cutting torch Qualifications: Welding or fabrication experience preferred Ability to read measurements and work from technical instructions or prints Comfortable working with metal materials and fabrication tools Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift Strong attention to safety and detail
