JOB SUMMARY
Weld and/or fabricate finished and sub-level components in carbon steel, stainless steel and various high alloys
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for producing products of the highest quality meeting both internal and external standards and meeting all specified and non- specified quality requirements
• Other duties assigned by supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Must be able to layout fabricated weld elements at all levels ranging from simple to complex.
• Must be skilled in SMAW, GTAW, and FCAW weld processes.
• Must be proficient in all phases of welding including understanding cause and effect of machine settings, multi pass bead construction and placement, and able to diagnose and correct weld defects.
• Must be able to read and work from mechanical drawings to fabricate weld elements and determine weld requirements
• Must be proficient in the application and interpretation of Liquid Penetrant testing
• Must be capable of rigging and lifting all types of components with slings, clamps and overhead cranes
• Must be able to follow internal welding procedures and follow written work instructions
• Must be proficient will all types of air and electric grinders, wheels, belts and points
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High School Diploma or GED
• Five (5) years related experience and/or technical school or equivalent combination.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand for long periods of time and operate machinery and/or lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to kneel, bend, stoop, walk
or work in high precarious places. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and ability to adjust focus. PPE is required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and equipment of various sizes. Anticipated salary range for this position: $38,600/yr to $80,780/yr. The anticipated salary range is what we believe to be the likely base salary range for this position at the time of posting. Actual salary for this position will depend on relevant qualifications, skills, and experience.
