Job Title: MIG/TIG Welder
Pay: $19/hr. - $20/hr.
Shift: 1st
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and skilled MIG/TIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components according to specifications and quality standards. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and welding symbols.
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components and structures.
- Set up and operate welding equipment, hand tools, and fabrication machinery.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, strength, and compliance with specifications.
- Measure, cut, grind, and prepare materials for welding.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous MIG and TIG welding experience required.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and fabrication processes.
- Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Welding certifications are a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing, fabrication, or shop environment.
- Comfortable working with personal protective equipment (PPE), including welding helmets, gloves, and safety glasses.
