Job Summary

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel components
• Work from blueprints, drawings, and instructions to produce high-quality parts
• Support fabrication and production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding based on blueprints and specifications
• Read and interpret drawings to determine welding requirements
• Set up and adjust welding machines according to job specifications
• Follow and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
• Inspect materials and finished welds to ensure quality standards
• Set up welding stations for production runs
• Assist with fabrication, machine operation, and production processes as needed
• Create sketches or notes for jobs when drawings are not provided
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet production goals

Qualifications

• Experience with MIG and TIG welding required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Familiarity with welding safety standards and PPE
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and problem-solving skills

Skills

• Knowledge of welding equipment, tools, and fabrication processes
• Ability to use measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, angle gauges)
• Basic shop math skills (fractions, decimals, conversions)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to identify materials and produce consistent, high-quality work

• Exposure to welding equipment, machinery, and industrial conditions

Physical Requirements

• Frequent bending, lifting, and handling materials
