Seeking a highly skilled Welder/Fabricator to support production operations in the Castroville area! This role plays a critical part in producing high-quality metal components and assemblies, with a strong focus on precision, safety, and craftsmanship.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
Perform welding on a variety of metals, including stainless steel
Conduct visual inspections to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards
Identify, report, and assist in correcting fabrication or welding defects
Assemble fabricated components and finished metal products
Ensure structural integrity and quality of welded joints
Support material handling, organization, and basic inventory control within the fabrication area
Measure, cut, shape, and grind metal using hand tools and shop equipment
Work collaboratively with production and fabrication team members
Follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and workplace policies
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience with multiple welding techniques
Background in metal fabrication, including cutting, shaping, and finishing
Familiarity with welding tools, machinery, and shop equipment
Welding certification preferred
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
General knowledge of workplace safety practices
High school diploma or equivalent
