Our client, a pump manufacturing company, is seeking a Welder to join their team. As a Welder, you will be part of the Welding department supporting shop and field operations. The ideal candidate will have considerable judgment, close attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Welder
Location: North Tonawanda, NY
Pay Range: $30+/hour
Shift: 2nd shift (3:30pm – 11:00pm) or 3rd shift (11:00pm – 7:00am).
Perform all kinds of welding, brazing, and cutting on ferrous and non-ferrous metals using gas and electric equipment.
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to plan the details of the working procedure, tools, and materials needed.
Set up, assemble, clean, preheat, post-heat, flame anneal, and prepare items to be welded.
Perform high-quality welding in all positions, including lap, "V", butt, and pressure welding to meet various code requirements.
Build up worn or defective surfaces and utilize burning equipment to dismantle assemblies or cut materials to size.
2-3 years of experience in welding and related metalwork.
Strong working knowledge of metal welding properties, welding rods, heats, stress relief, and allowances for fit-up/machining.
Ability to interpret drawings, use welding gauges, and exercise exact torch or electrode control.
Capability to handle moderate physical exertion, work at ground level or overhead, and work in both inside and outside weather conditions.
Commitment to safety, including the proper setup of guards or shields to protect others from serious burns.

Shift flexibility with openings on the 2nd shift (3:30 PM – 11:00 PM) or 3rd shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
