Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable Welder to join a manufacturing team in Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for performing MIG welding and basic fabrication on a variety of metal components while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and productivity.
The ideal candidate has previous welding experience, can accurately read blueprints and measurements, and takes pride in producing quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment
Experience performing MIG welding on steel and other metal materials
Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic shop math
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and fabrication drawings
Experience operating welding equipment, grinders, and fabrication tools
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to follow all company safety procedures
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding on steel and other metal materials according to specifications
Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and measurements to complete fabrication tasks accurately
Safely operate welding machines, grinders, and other fabrication equipment
Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet company quality standards
Assist with fabrication, assembly, and material handling as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all standard operating procedures and workplace safety requirements
Meet established production and quality goals
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Previous fabrication or industrial manufacturing experience
Experience using a variety of welding and metal fabrication tools
Ability to work from blueprints and production drawings with minimal supervision
Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and repetitive movements throughout the shift
Ability to work in varying temperatures within a manufacturing environment
Ability to safely wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout the workday
Work Environment
Industrial manufacturing and fabrication facility
