Welder

Position:

This position works under moderate supervision. Responsible for the design, welding, and fabrication of metal parts and components. Performs quality checks, basic adjustments to welding equipment, and has print reading capabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Ability to work with moderate supervision.
2. Ability to perform at MIG and TIG weld techniques.
3. Demonstrate ability to properly prepare welding surface.
4. Responsible for the design, welding, and fabrication of routine and occasionally complex metal parts and components.
5. Perform fit-up and assembly with moderate supervision.
6. Ability to perform in-process quality control checks for self, sometimes with assistance from co-workers and/or department leader.
7. Ability to make basic adjustments to welding equipment as required.
8. Ability to read and understand prints and welding symbols.
9. Follow all shop safety rules and regulations.
10. Other duties as required.
