Job Description

Skilled MIG and TIG Welder with experience in sheet metal fabrication. Proficient in welding thin-gauge materials with precision and maintaining high-quality standards. Able to read blueprints, perform accurate welds, and ensure strong, clean finishes while following safety and production requirements.

Responsibilities:

    • Perform MIG and TIG welding on thin-gauge sheet metal
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
    • Set up, operate, and adjust welding equipment and settings
    • Ensure weld quality, strength, and appearance meet specifications
    • Measure, cut, and fit metal parts prior to welding
    • Inspect finished welds and make repairs as needed
    • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
    • Work with stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel
    • Meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards
    • Perform basic equipment maintenance and report issues
    • Maintenance: Clean and maintain equipment. Keep work areas clean and organized to ensure efficiency and safety.
Job Requirements

Skills
  • Proficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques
  • Ability to weld thin-gauge sheet metal with precision
  • Experience working with stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel
  • Strong blueprint and schematic reading skills
  • Knowledge of welding symbols and measurements
  • Attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to use hand tools, grinders, and measuring tools
  • Good time management and ability to meet production deadlines
Qualifications
  • Previous MIG/TIG welding experience in a sheet metal or fabrication setting
  • Welding certification (preferred but not required)
  • Understanding of welding safety standards and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift materials as needed
  • Knowledge of safety practices in handling chemicals, working with high temperatures, and using electrostatic equipment.
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle parts of varying weights and sizes.
  • 18 years or older
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience

Pay Range: $25-$85

Location: Ventura County

Pay Rate: $25.00+/hour
Job Type: Temporary / As-needed basis
