Job Details
Responsibilities
- Perform welding and fabrication according to blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Set up welding equipment and select appropriate settings and materials for each job
- Fit, position, clamp, and weld components and assemblies
- Inspect completed welds for quality, dimensions, and workmanship
- Use grinders, measuring tools, fixtures, and other fabrication equipment as needed
- Identify defects or quality concerns and make necessary corrections
- Maintain welding equipment and a clean, safe work area
- Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures
Qualifications
- Previous welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Experience with MIG and/or TIG welding preferred
- Experience welding aluminum, stainless steel, and/or carbon steel is a plus
- Comfortable using grinders, hand tools, and precision measuring equipment
- Strong attention to weld quality and dimensional requirements
- Ability to work independently from drawings and work instructions
