WELDER Production Operations

Summary:

• Shift: Weekdays 06:00 AM - 04:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
• Fabricate small components and complete production and quality assurance forms.
• Participate actively in team meetings and group discussions.
• Interface with engineering to accurately communicate information.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement activities or events as required.
• Adhere to Quality Management System Requirements and follow 5S activities.
• Read and follow standard work, BOMs, blueprints, routings, specifications, and other diagrams/instructions to paint parts and equipment accurately and timely.
• Obtain necessary tools and equipment and handle materials manually or with a jib crane, performing own hitching as required.
• Maintain high-quality standards and consistently maintain productivity levels as determined by management.
• Prepare machinery for shipping.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a custom build shop preferred.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and operate a computer to read and input data.
• Ability to operate hand tools and read measuring devices.
• Ability to read and interpret 3D prints/schematics to complete standard work.
• Employee is required to wear appropriate PPE such as steel toe boots and safety glasses.
• Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, crouch, bend, work underneath equipment, reach above shoulders, and climb.
• Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Employee will be working in the typical conditions of a manufacturing environment including seasonal variation in temperatures and occasional exposure to manufacturing fumes or by-products.

Preferred Skills:

• 2 years of MIG experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
• Ability to hold themselves accountable for results.
• Safety-minded with the ability to think critically and troubleshoot problems.
