Welder - Industrial / Pipe Welding

Location: Quincy, MA

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder to perform pipe welding and fitting for stainless and carbon steel pipes. The role includes troubleshooting and repairing process piping and equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting daily operations within the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform welding on stainless and carbon steel pipes under supervision

  • Read and interpret work orders, flow sheets, blueprints, vendor specs, and P&IDs

  • Proficient in TIG, MIG, and stick welding

  • Conduct welding, brazing, soldering, repair, replacement, and installation of stainless and carbon steel, aluminum, copper, and other metals

  • Use hand, power, and shop tools safely and effectively

  • Assist with process equipment assembly and installation

  • Perform pipe fitting, rigging, and equipment installation

  • Conduct equipment diagnostics, troubleshooting, and problem-solving

  • Perform lubrication and preventive maintenance on equipment

  • Complete data entry in work order system as required

  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Post-secondary certificate in Welding or Mechanical/Repair Technology preferred

  • Successful completion of skills assessment (math, reading comprehension, gauge reading)

  • 3-5 years welding experience, preferably in an industrial environment

  • TIG route welding experience is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures
