AWS Certified Welder – Engine Block Repair & Manufacturing Support

Pay
$26–$34 per hour DOE
Position Summary
We are seeking experienced AWS Certified Welders to support a high-volume manufacturing environment focused on engine block production and repair. This position is responsible for performing precision welding and repair work on machined engine blocks and components while maintaining strict quality and production standards.
Ideal candidates will have experience in manufacturing, heavy industrial, automotive, aerospace, or precision machining environments.
Responsibilities
Perform welding repairs on engine blocks and machined components
Read and interpret blueprints, weld specifications, and work instructions
Inspect welded surfaces and completed work for quality and accuracy
Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
Work closely with Quality and Production teams to ensure specifications are met
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
Support continuous improvement and production goals
Qualifications
Current AWS Certification preferred
Previous welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment required
Experience welding cast materials, heavy components, or precision-machined parts preferred
Ability to use measuring tools and inspection equipment
Ability to read blueprints and follow technical instructions
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Preferred Experience
Engine block repair
Heavy equipment manufacturing
CNC or machining environment exposure
MIG, TIG, Flux Core, or specialty welding processes
Manufacturing quality standards and inspections
