Welder-Fitter

Our client, a leading industrial fabrication and process equipment manufacturer, is seeking a Welder-Fitter to join their team. As a Welder-Fitter, you will be part of the Fabrication Department supporting production and fabrication operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to interpret complex blueprints and specifications, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Pasco, WA
Pay Range: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour (DOE)

What's the Job?

• Perform pipe fitting duties including cutting, prep work, layout, fitting, and assembly of piping systems, vessels, and custom components.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and specifications while communicating requirements to welders and helpers.
• Produce x-ray quality welds on pipe, plate, tanks, and structural steel using MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding processes.
• Fabricate, assemble, and test piping systems utilizing hydro, steam, and pneumatic testing methods.
• Complete weld maps, operate material handling equipment, and ensure all work is performed in accordance with ASME codes and company standards.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of five (5) years of welding and fitting experience, including journey-level pipe welding and fitting in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Proficiency in GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), FCAW (Flux-Core), and SMAW (Stick) welding processes.
• Ability to pass onsite welding tests and consistently produce x-ray quality welds.
• Working knowledge of ASME codes, welding qualification records, material handling practices, and fabrication procedures.
• Forklift certification preferred, with the ability to wear a respirator and work overtime as needed.
