Starting Pay: $22.13–$23.13 per hour

Our welders are currently averaging approximately 17 hours of overtime per week.

At the top of the current starting pay range, that can mean up to approximately $79,000 per year if current overtime levels continue.

Plus $600 in New-Hire Bonus Opportunities

• $100 after successfully completing your first week
• $500 after successfully completing your 90-day introductory period

Overtime is based on production and business needs, may increase or decrease, and is not guaranteed. Estimated yearly earnings assume current overtime levels continue.

Experienced Welders Wanted

Thompson Pipe Group – Pressure is hiring experienced Welders for our manufacturing operation.

If you have solid Flux-Core welding experience, can pass a 3G weld test, and are looking for steady work with strong overtime opportunities, we want to talk to you.

What You’ll Do

• Inspect the interior and exterior surfaces of spirally welded steel cylinders
• Identify and repair weld defects and base-metal defects
• Perform Flux-Core welding repairs
• Perform back gouging and back welding
• Use oxy-acetylene cutting equipment, grinders, and fabrication tools
• Square cylinder ends and complete required repairs
• Measure and document cylinder dimensions to the nearest 1/32 inch
• Perform repairs in accordance with AWWA C200 and applicable job specifications
• Maintain welding equipment and tools
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation
• Follow all company safety procedures

What You Need

• Experience with Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
• Ability to pass a 3G FCAW weld test with back gouge and back weld
• Ability to produce welds meeting applicable ASME Section VIII, UW-51 100% radiographic/X-ray inspection requirements
• Ability to maintain a minimum 92% weld acceptance rate
• Experience using cutting torches and grinders
• Familiarity with standard welding practices and procedures
• Ability to accurately use measuring tools
• Dependable attendance and a strong safety mindset

SMAW experience preferred. SAW experience is a plus.
