Welders Tasks & Duties
Read and understand blueprints prior to starting a project
Source the materials to be used in theproject
Measure and cut materials to specifications
Weld materials using the correct materials to join the metalstogether
Check finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on theblueprints
Welders Shift Info
Day Shift, 6:00am to 6:00pm
Monday - Saturday
Welders Qualifications (Requirements/Skills)
Welders experience preferred
Must complete a satisfactory weld test on-site.
Must be able to proficiently MIG weld and handle a torch and plasma.
Must be able to proficiently Flux Core weld.
MUST BE ABLE TO COMFORTABLY LIFT 50+ LBS.
Competency in a shop/warehouse environment.
At least two years of welding experience in a professional environment.
Own your own welding hood and steel toe boots.
Experience fabricating in the Water Transfer Pumps industry
TIG Welding
Official Certifications in welding
Welder/Fabricator
Standard work week is 40 to 50 hours a week, Monday -Friday. Saturdays when necessary (depending on the business demand).
GED / High School Diploma
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Able to pass a background check
Able to work in the US
Knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools
Proven experience as welder
Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA etc.)
Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
Deftness and attention to detail
Proficient in English
Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required
AWS welding certificate
Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) a plus
Able to pass a backgroundcheck
Able to work in the US
