Welder (MIG)

Location: Client Site – Large Manufacturing Facility Pay Rate: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM – 2:45 PM

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join a reputable large manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will fabricate, assemble, and inspect metal structures with precision, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and build metal structures, including ductwork, using MIG welding and other appropriate techniques.
  • Solder and assemble components following detailed specifications.
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment, including press brake machines and plasma cutting tools.
  • Perform pipe threading and fitting as required.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, making necessary adjustments or repairs to meet standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 months experience as a MIG Welder in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in MIG welding; familiarity with TIG and ARC welding is advantageous.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
  • Basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Good physical stamina and manual dexterity; able to stand, squat, bend for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds.
