Primary Accountability:
The Welder will read and interpret work orders and blueprints to complete welding projects in a safe, quality and efficient manner. This position requires someone that is detail oriented with strong welding skills and the ability to complete routine to intricate projects.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret work orders and blueprints to determine work requirements.
Ensure sufficient tools and supplies are available to allow welding work to be performed efficiently.
Set-up and operate welding equipment.
Weld various materials using appropriate and approved welding procedures.
Self-inspect quality of work product to ensure it meets IMI and Customer expectations.
Attend company training programs and follow procedures as outlined in training.
Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with employees and department managers.

High School Diploma or GED required.
1-2 years of fabrication experience preferred.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret fabrication drawings.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement.
Ability to complete work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment.
Physical Demands:
Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations.
Frequently lifts and/or moves up to fifty (50) pounds
Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear.
Use hands to handle, install, position, move and manipulate materials.
Work Environment:
Frequent exposure to extreme cold and heat
Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and vibration.
Moderate to high noise level
Interaction with team members in a respectful manner
Ability to work a flexible schedule, overtime, and weekends as required.
Will work in other departments as needed.
