Welder

The Welder is responsible for the welding of materials, parts and/or equipment per project schematics and drawings. Welders use detailed specifications to complete their role in a project's construction and carefully inspect their work for imperfections and defects to ensure the structural integrity of their projects.

Role specific responsibilities

• Weld materials
• Grind/clean welds
• Inspect quality of products
• Read blueprints for weld schedule
• Responsible for supporting all quality measures and procedures
• All other duties as assigned, as appropriate

Work Experience Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two years' experience in welding or a manufacturing environment or equivalent

Skills & Knowledge Required:

• Reads and understands blueprints
• Must be able to pass an FCAW weld test in 3G position
• GMAW, FCAW, GTAW experience preferred
• Proficient in use of hand tools, such as hand torch, squares, level, tape measure, etc.
• Has mathematical aptitude, including decimals and fractions
