Job Description
Welders
Location: Baytown, Texas Employment Type: Full‑Time
Job Responsibilities
- Perform SMAW (Stick), GTAW (TIG), FCAW (Flux Core), and MIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to ensure accurate weld layout and fit‑up.
- Weld pipe and structural components in multiple positions, including roll‑outs, vertical, and overhead.
- Fabricate and weld pressure vessels; shear, roll, and fuse stainless steel or aluminum materials.
- Weld structural steel such as girders, stiffeners, splice plates, and diaphragms using FCAW/MIG.
- Follow strict safety protocols and ensure welds meet quality standards, including x‑ray and visual inspection requirements.
- Operate grinders, saws, drill presses, and other fabrication tools to prep and finish welds.
- Work collaboratively with welders, fitters, and supervisors to meet production goals and resolve welding issues.
Skills & Traits
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in high‑temperature or confined environments.
- Familiarity with AWS welding certifications (preferred).
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and long shifts.
Requirements
- Proven experience with SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and MIG welding.
- Ability to weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding schematics.
- Experience with pipe welding and structural welding in multiple positions.
- Knowledge of fabrication tools and shop equipment.
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to quality standards.
- Bilingual Preferred
