Welding Clerk

Westaff has an immediate opening for an experienced Welding Clerk for the St Gabriel, La area.

Monday - Friday, 7am-330pm, some weekends + overtime.

The Weld Clerk is responsible for tracking welding consumables and supplies, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring timely reordering to support production needs. This role also distributes the correct welding materials and equipment to welders and maintains accurate usage records for quality and compliance purposes. Job

Job duties: Tracking welding consumables and supplies.

Monitoring inventory levels and knowing when to reorder materials.

Distributing proper welding supplies to the appropriate team members.

Conducting regular inventory checks to ensure the availability and accuracy of materials.

Qualifications & Skills:

High School diploma or equivalent experience required.

Prior experience in a quality control or welding environment is helpful, with a strong understanding of welding consumables.

Strong organizational and inventory management skills.

Possesses effective communication and teamwork skills.

Familiarity with the distribution and tracking of welding supplies.

Experience in an ASME environment is a plus.

Strong attention to detail.

Working Conditions: Heat, noisy, dusty, dirty, cold, chemical exposures, pinching hazards.
