Pennoni is currently
seeking full-time and part-time welding inspectors to perform, off-site Quality Assurance steel fabrication inspection at shops in
Eastern and Central Pennsylvania that produce bridge and highway structures for transportation agencies.
Experience consistent with, but not limited to:
- Inspection of welding, steel fabrication, coatings, expansion joints, bridge bearings, sign structures, bridge girders/beams, drainage structures, nondestructive testing, and other related material
- Monitoring work for compliance with approved shop drawings, standards, and specifications
- Communicating and meeting with fabricators, clients, and engineers
- Production of daily written shop inspection reports
Required Attributes- Minimum Education: High School
- Minimum years of experience: 1-5
- Experience performing QA/QC of bridge fabrication
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector
- Computer Skills: Microsoft windows and Microsoft Office applications
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work well independently and with others
- Able to work overtime
- Need reliable transportation
Preferred Attributes- Bridge fabrication inspection experience.
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) certifications (UT, RT, MT, PT).
- AWS D1.1/D1.5 Experience.
- Coating Inspection certification.
- Coating Inspection experience.
