Epcon is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for a pipeline anomaly dig project in Oregon. The CWI will inspect repair welds on excavated pipe and document all work to client and code requirements.
Responsibilities
Inspect repair welds, sleeves, and tie-ins to API 1104 and project specs
Verify WPS, welder qualifications, fit-up, and preheat
Perform visual inspection and witness NDE
Complete daily weld logs and inspection reports
Report nonconformances to the client rep immediately
Requirements
Current AWS CWI certification
5+ years of pipeline weld inspection experience
Knowledge of API 1104 and PHMSA 49 CFR 192/195
OQ credentials preferred
Own PPE and inspection tools
Ability to pass background check and drug screen
