Description
Welding Technology Instructor
Provide classroom instruction to college students through lecture, computer simulation, demonstration, laboratory exercises, handouts, the use of audio-visuals, responding to questions, and testing; and to perform related duties as required.
Full-time, 10 month employee (Public School Calendar)
Examples of Duties
Provide effective instruction to students online and/or in the classroom by preparing for each learning experience, providing supplemental materials to enhance textbooks and lessons, and using effective evaluation methods to measure student performance.
Ensure teaching and working environment (classroom, lab, shop) by maintaining equipment and supplies, ensuring overall cleanliness, functionality, and conformance to OSHA standards.
Maintain accurate records (such as attendance, grades, documentation for accreditation, etc.) and submit any corresponding reports according to departmental or college guidelines.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Welding Technology Diploma.
Five (5) years experience in the welding industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
A.A.S. in Welding, or a related area.
Effective communication skills; ability to work effectively in teams; passion for student learning and the welding industry.
