Welding & Metal Fabrication Shop Lead

Where you’ll work

Burleson, TX 76028. You’ll lead a shop crew on 2nd Shift and keep production moving safely and efficiently.

What will you do every day?

• Coordinate people, parts, and priorities so the workflow never stalls.
• Jump in to fit and weld parts when hands-on support is the fastest path forward.
• Model best practices in safety, product quality, and output.
• Communicate with your team, leadership, and clients so expectations are clear and met.
• Track job status, troubleshoot problems, and remove blockers quickly.
• Coach new hires and cross-train teammates to build a stronger bench.
• Hold the line on safety regulations and company standards.
• Support planning and scheduling to meet deadlines.
• Inspect work regularly to confirm it meets spec and quality benchmarks.

What do you need to bring?

• Experience as a foreman or supervisory lead in fabrication.
• Working knowledge of metal fab processes, safety protocols, and quality control.
• Clear, steady leadership and strong communication.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Detail-driven problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments.
• High school diploma or equivalent (relevant certifications are a plus).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Preferred: fitting/welding capability and the ability to pass an AWS D1.1 weld test.
