HotFoot Recruiters is hiring a Welding Technician to support piping and installation work on semiconductor construction projects in Phoenix, AZ. This role is ideal for candidates with CWI certification who are experienced in welding inspection and are open to learning automated/orbital welding in a high-tech construction environment.
Position: Welding Technician
Location: North Phoenix, AZ
Type: Full-Time | Direct-Hire
Schedule: Project-based (overtime avaliable)
Pay: $46/hr DOE
Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities
- Perform and support welding operations on stainless steel and high-purity piping systems
- Inspect welds and ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications
- Read and interpret isometric drawings and welding procedures
- Assist with automated/orbital welding (training provided if needed)
- Support pipe fitting, installation, and fabrication work as required
- Maintain proper documentation for welding inspections and QA/QC records
- Follow all safety protocols and cleanroom procedures when working on-site
- Coordinate with field teams to ensure quality and minimize rework
Qualifications- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) required
- Experience in welding, pipe installation, or construction environments
- Willingness to learn or expand into automated/orbital welding
- Ability to read blueprints, isometrics, and welding documentation
- Familiarity with stainless steel piping and high-purity systems preferred
- Experience in semiconductor or cleanroom environments is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
- Able to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced construction environment
- Must meet DBA requirements
