The Workover & Well Intervention Superintendent is responsible for the execution of well programs (drilling, completion, workover) to ensure that operations are performed in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
The Superintendent is the focal point for the Wellsite Supervisor for reviewing daily operations and program changes. They act as focal point of communications between rig or well-site, Product Lines, and Third Parties and ensure resources are deployed efficiently.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
An experienced offshore Workover & Intervention Superintendent with 5-10+ years of leadership experience, Well Control certification, strong operational decision-making capability, and preferably P&A project experience.
The ideal candidate can independently lead offshore operations, manage risk, and serve as a trusted operational authority for the customer and project team.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise offshore Workover & Intervention activities.
Support Plug & Abandonment projects.
Make critical operational decisions in the absence of management.
Coordinate with clients, product lines, vendors, and operational teams.
Ensure operational safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Support audits, site visits, and operational readiness activities.
Drive improvement of HSE processes through identifying and implementing action plans, which includes monitoring and recording project execution results, and recommending performance changes to improve project delivery, and auditing is performed regularly to ensure there is a continuous feedback loop.
Manage operations and ensure deliverables requirements are recorded to meet the planned project operations work.
Ensure quality process continuous improvement while validating project deliverables meet requirements for final acceptance.
Participate in pre-job planning/kickoff meetings while incorporating PLs, relevant contractors, and customer to ensure a common understanding.
Ensure compliance with company policies and Integrated PL standards, including Integrated PL standing orders.
Demonstrate QHSE leadership in the project, including regular visits to the wellsite, and conduct QHSE/rig audits with the QHSE Coordinator.
Review operational problems and support job incidents, changes, incident response and recovery, including coordination with the individual PLs and key contractors.
Forecast and plan medium- and long-term to anticipate resources to meet operational program(s) requirements.
Manage and monitor operations, as well as assess and report operational progress.
Participate in the selection and evaluation of service companies, suppliers, and equipment.
Ensure cost control of the program versus project budget.
Coordinate operational activities of PLs and third-parties to ensure compliance with work program, optimum efficiency, and service quality.
Attend the rig site as needed for critical wellsite activities and consolidate lessons learned during the campaign.
Assure proper training and development of Well Site Supervisors and other personnel under their direct supervisions.
Required Experience:
Minimum 5-10 years of experience as a Superintendent in Workover & Intervention operations.

Proven ability to make operational decisions independently and lead field teams.
Experience supervising well operations and managing operational risk.
Certifications required for offshore/Gulf of America operations.
Other offshore safety certifications are beneficial.
