Wellness Attendant & Front Desk Representative

POSITION SUMMARYThis position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Delivers excellent service to all members, guests, and program participants. This will be a dual role between the Wellness Center and Front Desk at the Minerva Area YMCA. STARTING RATE$11.35/hr commensurate with experience AVAILABLE HOURSWeekday afternoons and eveningsSaturday morningsOther shifts as neededQUALIFICATIONSEagerness to welcome, connect, and engage with others.Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people.Previous customer service, sales, or related experience.Solid computer skills and Microsoft Office experience required.Experience working with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions.First Aid/CPR/AED certification preferred but will provide trainingKnowledge in overall health and wellness related fieldsIn understanding of exercise equipment and procedures while in use ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSProvides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants contributing to member engagement.Handles and resolves concerns.Promotes and sells memberships and programs.Builds relationships and helps connect community members to the YMCA.  *** Part-time staff receive complimentary memberships and discounted rates for child care and most programs.
