Description
CSPNJ, a mental health nonprofit is looking for a full-time Wellness Center Manager in Jersey City. Under the direction of the Regional Coordinator, the Manager is responsible for managing, coordinating, and overseeing operations and activities at the center including a team of mentors and a Resource Specialist. Wellness Centers are a safe and supportive place for adults with life struggles to meet and get support.
HIGHLIGHTS
Conduct community outreach to promote center services, building partnerships with local organizations, and ensuring access to resources for members.
Foster a welcoming environment, track operational metrics, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with policies.
The manager will coordinate referral services, life skills workshops, vocational awareness, self-care opportunities, creative arts activities, peer support, access to tangible goods.
Foster partnerships with local organizations, community leaders to enhance the centers visibility and relevance, actively engaging in community events and initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in a mental health discipline preferred; alternatively, a high school diploma with 2+ years of related work/ lived experience..
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a supervisory role.
Proficient in MS Office products as well as general computer literacy.
Effective communication skills, both oral and written; attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and stay organized.
Track record of engagement and passion for building the community.
Knowledge of wellness, the mental health system and community resources.
Ability to effectively communicate and relate to a diverse population in a multicultural environment.
Proven ability to engage and support individuals with mental health diagnoses using empathy, professionalism, and trauma-informed practices.
Bilingual skills a plus!
MUST have a valid NJ Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
