Requirements / Qualifications

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, the Wellness Coach I promotes foundational wellness and provides social-emotional education, mental health literacy, and direct student support. Duties include, but are not limited to, providing check-in sessions with individual students and group activities; supporting the daily operation of site wellness programs and outreach efforts; maintaining resources and materials, and maintaining wellness spaces; monitoring and reporting behavior of students according to approved procedures; administering pre and post surveys and managing other sources of data for each student seen. Qualifications: Minimum of an Associate's Degree required from an accredited CA community college or accredited US program in any of the following fields: Social Work, Human Services, Addiction Studies, Child Development/Early Intervention, Psychology, or Sociology, with 1,000 hours of related experience. Spanish speaking is preferred.
