THIS POSITION IS FOR CYPRESSWOOD MEMORY CARE
The Wellness Director oversees clinical and medical programs for assisted-living residents and ensures
adherence to applicable laws and regulations at all times. Candidate must have LVN certification
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• assesses resident health and care conditions
• creates and ensures maintenance of service plans for all residents
• provides residents with a medication regime as ordered by the resident’s physician
• ensures that physician orders are carried out as ordered
• provides oversight to staff and delegates tasks appropriately
• monitors effective communications regarding resident care
• supervise, retain, evaluate and train Caregivers and Medication Aides
• maintains medical records, resident records, and medication records
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Wellness Director carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include:
• interviewing new vendors and retrieving the necessary paperwork
• training employees
• planning, assigning, and directing work
• hiring, rewarding and disciplining employees
• addressing complaints and resolving problems
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from 4-year college or university; or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• LVN or LPN certification
• ability to multi-task
Communication Skills
Ability to:
• read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
• write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format
• effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
