Wellness Director Duties and Responsibilities:

·         The coordination of resident care with a “hands on” management style

·         Strong organizational skills

·         Develops, reviews, and revises nursing and clinical policies

·         Able to work days, but also willing to be flexible during a staff shortage or emergency situation

·         Conduct employee performance evaluations and disciplinary situations to ensure quality care of residents

·         Ability to multi-task

·         Knowledge of State Specific Regulations

·         Ability to lead in the recruitment of qualified staff by conducting interviews

·         Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant

·         Ability to focus on customer service and collaboration with other departments to develop, support, and coordinate patient care and related functions

·         Promote an atmosphere of respect, professional growth, and encouragement for all nursing staff members and assure regulatory standards and company goals are met or exceeded

·         Responsible for cost controls by monitoring the use of supplies and equipment

Wellness Director Qualifications and Skills:

·         Registered Nurse License or Licensed Practical Nurse License (Required)

·         CPR/First Aid (Required)
