Responsibilities of a Wellness Director RN:
- Oversee resident care, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and state regulations
- Assess changes in resident condition and coordinate appropriate care
- Develop and update care plans; conduct care conferences with residents and families
- Ensure accurate documentation, medication management, and physician order follow-up
- Hire, schedule, supervise, and evaluate nursing staff
- Provide staff training, orientation, and ongoing education
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and ensure adherence to safety protocols
- Manage nursing supplies and equipment to ensure proper availability and function
Qualifications for a Wellness Director RN:
- RN graduate from an accredited registered nursing program.
- Hold a current Rhode Island RN License
- Minimum of one year experience in a clinical hospital setting, assisted living, skilled nursing facility or home health care agency.
- Ability to walk, stand, sit and bend intermittently.
- Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds and physically assist residents
