AboutValley Baptist Micro-Hospital - Weslaco:
Valley Baptist Micro-Hospital - Weslaco is a community-focused micro-hospital in Weslaco, Texas, operated by Valley Baptist Health System and serving the Mid-Valley region with a mix of emergent and acute medical care. It opened in January 2020 as the first facility of its kind in the Rio Grande Valley, blending emergency services with inpatient care in a smaller, more accessible setting than a traditional full-size hospital.
Unlike standalone emergency rooms, this micro-hospital provides a full-service emergency department with multiple beds and trauma bays alongside inpatient beds, enabling doctors and nurses to treat and observe patients who need more than immediate urgent care. It also offers laboratory and imaging services including X-ray, ultrasound, and CT scans and other supportive clinical capabilities such as respiratory care and telemetry for heart monitoring
Community Information: Weslaco is where opportunity meets sunshine, culture thrives, and community comes first. Perfectly positioned in the Rio Grande Valley, Weslaco offers the energy of a growing regional hub with the warmth of a close-knit community, and is not far from the larger metro area of McAllen to the west and the beaches of South Padre Island to the east.
