Job Title: Reports to: Terms: Salary: Classi fication: Instructor OC Director of Workforce Development & CE Part-time, As Needed Paid Per Course, DOE Exempt Position Summary: Western Texas College Opportunity Center, WTC's Workforce Development and Continuing Education office, is looking for instruc tors to teach various short courses of interest to local businesses and members of our community. Co urses can last from a few hours up to several weeks in duration and take place at various times (days, evenings, weekends) to meet business partner needs. Some courses will require special educational qualifications and certifications. Other positions may only require experience or training in a particular skill set. Examples of Potential Course Offerings Include: computer s oftware training ( QuickBooks, E xcel, P hotoshop, et c.), b usiness accounting, workplace safety, welding, floral design, woodworking, photography, music, y oga, d ance, food handling and food safety, ch ildcare t r aining, f irst ai d, electronics, j ewelry m aking, cu stomer se rvice ski lls, car eer readiness, or any industry -specific t raining f or businesses. If you are a trainer with an area busine ss, we ca n assi st with custom- designing curriculums a nd organizing t raining t o meet y our busi ness needs. If you have a special t alent that y ou would like to teach informally, we ca n assist with creating a class.
