The Wet Chemistry Analyst prepares and analyzes water, oil, soil, and sediment samples while accurately documenting results and maintaining laboratory records. This role requires working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production laboratory and reports to the Wet Chemistry Supervisor or Manager.
Key Responsibilities - Analyze client samples according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, bench sheets, and logbooks
- Use LIMS to manage sample batches and report results
- Prepare reagents, perform quality checks, and manage chemical inventories
- Clean glassware and maintain an organized work area
- Properly handle and dispose of laboratory waste
- Assist with SOP reviews and updates
- Perform routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting
- Support additional laboratory tasks as assigned
Qualifications - Experience with Ion Chromatography, Spectrophotometers, and Flow Segmented Analyzers preferred
- Knowledge of good laboratory practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under deadlines
Physical Requirements - Stand for extended periods (8+ hours)
- Lift up to 70 lbs.
- Manual dexterity for laboratory work
- Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
- Overtime, occasional evenings/weekends, and one holiday shift annually as needed
