  • Pay: $21.00 per hour
Job Summary
The Wet End Operator plays a vital role in the manufacturing process by ensuring products are produced efficiently while meeting strict quality standards. This position is responsible for monitoring the wet end production process, verifying product weights, adjusting machine settings, maintaining proper cycle times, and ensuring products are correctly formed and dried before moving to the packing stage. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Monitor product weights, appearance, and drying process to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Adjust machine settings and cycle times to maximize efficiency and product consistency.
  • Verify products are properly formed and sufficiently dried before they move to packing.
  • Clean, maintain, and perform mold changeovers according to production schedules.
  • Perform basic machine troubleshooting and report more complex equipment issues to supervisors.
  • Record production data, including cycle times and quality inspections.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Work closely with packers and supervisors to keep production running efficiently.
  • Assist with training new employees on wet end processes when needed.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback and maintaining accurate production records.
Qualifications
  • Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to make machine adjustments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to lift, stand, bend, and perform physical work throughout a 12-hour shift.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Dependable attendance and a positive work ethic.
