Our continued growth and success have created an opportunity for a Wetland/Environmental Scientist at our corporate headquarters in downtown Milwaukee, WI. This role offers meaningful learning opportunities and the chance to contribute to a well-established technical group focused on water resources, ecology, and wetland sciences. Projects may include habitat restoration, public and private development, and transportation. We are considering Wetland/Environmental Scientists to join our team who possess the following basic qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Ecology, Biological Sciences, Water Resources or Civil Engineering with an environmental focus.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in wetland projects required in the Midwest region.
Preferred completion of Army Corps of Engineers Basic Delineation Training (or approved equivalent.)
Stormwater and GIS experience is a plus. Familiarity with GPS equipment is highly preferred.
Qualifying experience includes working knowledge of Federal and State water and wetland regulations such as: Section 404 of the Clean Water Act; Wisconsin's wetland and waterway regulations; wetland delineation and functional assessment; knowledge of Wisconsin's flora; and wetland mitigation site selection, design and construction.
Preferred experience with green infrastructure, erosion control or best management practice inspections.
Good oral and written communication skills, organizational and note-taking skills.
Ability to collaborate with clients, peers, management and vendors.
