Job Title: Youth T-Ball/Baseball Coach

Location: Rustad Recreation Center, 601 26th Ave E, West Fargo, ND

Job Type: Part-Time, Seasonal

Pay: $15.00-$16.00/hour

The West Fargo Park District is looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable individuals to coach youth T-ball and baseball. If you enjoy working with young athletes, have a good understanding of baseball, and can create a fun and educational environment, this opportunity is for you!

Position Overview

As a Youth T-Ball/Baseball Coach, you will supervise and coach practices and games for children aged 4-9, helping them develop skills, enjoy the game, and grow as athletes. You will lead drills, organize practices, and ensure a positive experience for both players and their families.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise Practices and Games: Guide youth through practices and games, ensuring a safe, fun, and educational environment.

Teach Fundamentals: Instruct players in the fundamentals of baseball, including rules, sportsmanship, and teamwork.

Lead Drills and Activities: Organize and execute engaging drills and activities to help young players improve their skills.

Communicate Effectively: Build positive relationships with players, parents, and staff, fostering a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.

Promote Sportsmanship: Encourage respect, teamwork, and a love for the game.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Previous experience in baseball or coaching is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of baseball rules and the ability to teach fundamentals.
• Excellent communication and public relation skills, especially with children and parents.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and able to motivate young players.
• Able to pass a full background check

Work Schedule

This seasonal position requires availability Saturdays from 8:30am-2pm from October 17th-November 21st, at the Rustad Recreation Center in West Fargo.
