The White Hut is looking for a skilled General Manager to join our team at our Holyoke location.The iconic White Hut has been serving up the best burgers and hot dogs in Massachusetts for over 80 years; this is a unique opportunity to join our team!

SUMMARY

The General Manager is trained to perform all of the duties performed by the Crew Members, with additional responsibility for directing the daily operations of a restaurant, ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operation including product preparation and delivery, customer relations, restaurant maintenance, team management and other duties as required or assigned. Salary is $55,000 annually and based on a 50-55 hour work week. This is considered to be a working managerial position. The right candidate should have a positive mindset and should be passionate about hospitality and great food done right!

Primary Duties: The following are examples only and are not intended to be all inclusive or restrictive; other duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Excels in performing all Crew Member tasks including: runner/frontline coordinator, order taker/dining room attendant, grill operator, sandwich maker, fry station, drinks and cashier.

  • Ownership of financial statements including P&L, ensure labor, purchasing, and controllables are within company guidelines to maximize profits.

  • Oversee hiring and the performance, development, and retention of employees through engagement, training, feedback, and coaching.

  • Manage labor and staff schedules in accordance with business volume to operate efficiently

  • Embody Bean Restaurant Group core values, motivate and educate your staff to embody true hospitality, administer legendary service to maintain and attract customers.

  • Ensure the highest quality product and service standards are maintained with guests

  • Execute all administrative tasks and closing duties, maintain compliance with payroll and human resources

Completes all other duties assigned as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A team player with a hospitality first mentality and a willingness to learn

  • Positive attitude, excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: Scheduling, company policies and procedures, personnel management, basic recordkeeping, point-of-sale computers and software

  • Two years restaurant management experience preferred, but we will train the right restaurant candidate who shows a willingness to learn in a collaborative environment

  • Ability to stand, walk and lift heavy items for extended periods of time

WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time position includes day and evening shifts as well as weekend shifts. Expectation is 50-55 hours per week.
