This role is perfect for health-minded individuals who are passionate about empowering others through nutrition and breastfeeding education. What You'll Be Doing:Conducting nutrition assessments, counseling, and education for WIC participants in Amador and Calaveras counties.Providing crucial support to WIC Nutrition Assistants.Collaborating with a diverse and dedicated team committed to community health. Key Responsibilities:Nutrition Education and Training: Engage with individuals or groups using the Participant Centered Education (PCE) approach. Support the Breastfeeding Coordinator in planning and conducting nutrition education and breastfeeding contacts. Special Projects and Outreach: Contribute to special projects, such as production of nutrition education materials, and participate in WIC-related consortia or task forces.
