Description

What you will do:

  • Provide technical support and guidance for wildlife conflicts and disease issues
  • Process goose and deer damage control permit applications for constituents
  • Coordinate wildlife disease monitoring and surveillance efforts within a 20-county area
  • Coordinate and conduct wildlife surveys and mark/recapture efforts
  • Provide specialized presentations on wildlife management issues to a variety of audiences
  • Provide wildlife call center support by answering constituent questions and inquiries
  • Act as lead worker for seasonal staff
  • Starting hourly pay of $23.65/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 7.5 years of service, with an end salary of $28.76/hr
  • There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied. Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service. For more details, refer to the OCSEA Employees | Department of Administrative Services.

2 yrs. exp. in wildlife management position.

  • Or completion of undergraduate core program in wildlife management, wildlife biology or zoology or other related field.
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
