Benko Fleet Coordinator

The Benco Fleet Coordinator will inspect fleet vehicles, perform preventative maintenance and light duty/minor repairs; track and log maintenance intervals for fleet vehicles and coordinate complex and major repairs with appropriate vendors.

Job Duties:
  • Performs and coordinates fleet maintenance and repairs; determines vehicle condition by way of inspections, test drives and diagnostic tests; identifies worn and damaged parts
  • Performs light maintenance (light bulb replacement, wiper replacement, etc.) and preventative maintenance (oil change, tune-up, etc.) procedures
  • Performs diagnostics and provide potential solutions
  • Coordinates major/complex repairs with vendors, while maintaining costs by use of warranties and evaluating service and parts options
  • Monitors fleet vehicles in northwestern North Dakota and northeastern Montana for service and maintenance
  • Accurately maintains vehicle records by service and repair orders in an organized manner
  • Communicates with Location Manager the status of repairs and maintenance
  • Ensures all shop tools and equipment are maintained and in good operating condition
  • Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies
  • Maintains job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Follows the proper company policies and procedures. Whether dealing with tracking and communicating repair schedules, conducting minor repairs/preventative
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or (GED) equivalent; 2 year Associates Degree or Technical school certificate a plus
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical and electrical systems
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to diagnose and repair equipment and components in the field
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
