Roles and Responsibilities

• Bring 10+ years of hands-on experience in data migration projects, preferably in a PTC Windchill environment.

• Apply working knowledge of the Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) domain.

• Understand the Windchill data model, workflows, configurations, and system architecture.

• Plan and execute data migration from non-PLM systems into the Windchill environment.

• Apply data migration concepts, methodologies, and industry best practices.

• Understand CAD data, engineering documents, and engineering document management systems.

• Work with the Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM) tool for data migration activities.

• Use Windchill data migration tools and utilities, including site consolidation tools and processes.

• Perform data mapping, transformation, cleansing, and validation to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

• Develop and use scripting solutions to automate migration processes.

• Identify and resolve data migration issues, inconsistencies, and errors.

• Ensure data integrity, completeness, and quality throughout the migration lifecycle.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, functional consultants, and technical teams.

• Communicate migration progress, risks, issues, and resolutions effectively to stakeholders.

• Follow established data management standards and PLM migration best practices.
