As a Cook, you will play a critical role in delivering the Wingstop experience by preparing fresh, high-quality food, following food safety standards, and supporting a culture of hospitality that puts guests first.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook wings, fries, tenders, sandwiches, and other menu items according to Wingstop recipes and standards
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department requirements
- Monitor product quality, temperatures, hold times, and expiration dates to ensure food safety compliance
- Operate fryers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Sauce, season, package, and present food accurately and consistently
- Read and execute orders with speed and accuracy while maintaining quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked work area throughout each shift
- Complete opening, shift, and closing cleaning procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and fast service
- Assist with food preparation, inventory organization, and product rotation using FIFO methods
- Support a positive guest experience by demonstrating urgency, teamwork, and professionalism
- Interact with guests in a friendly and respectful manner when needed, answering questions and helping ensure order accuracy
- Assist in resolving guest concerns by partnering with leadership to deliver outstanding service
Qualifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong commitment to food safety and cleanliness
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Excellent communication and guest service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required
