The School of Criminal Justice, Rutgers University invites applications for Winter 2027 Instructor teaching position in the undergraduate program.

The selected instructor shall report to the Dean of the School of Criminal Justice, prepare and submit course syllabi, meet and provide pedagogically appropriate instruction asynchronously, provide timely student feedback, respond to student emails, and adhere to grade submission policies and deadlines.

This three-credit course will be offered online and asynchronously during the two-week, intensive Winter Session from December 23, 2026 - January 16, 2027. Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

Demonstrated ability to teach at the university level.

Applicants with comparable degrees from accredited institutions may also be considered. Prior teaching is also preferred.

Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Masters or JD Required.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctorate Preferred.

The School of Criminal Justice at Rutgers University-Newark was founded in 1974 by an act of the New Jersey Legislature-the only school in America with this kind of legal charter.
