Wire Harness and Control Rack Assembler — Rolling Stock

Is this you?

• Comfortable reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, parts lists, and wire lists?
• Hands-on experience in electro-mechanical assembly or electrical panel work (construction, automotive, or electrical service industries count)?
• Skilled with electrical schematics and mechanical assembly techniques?
• Clear, basic communication in English—both written and verbal?
• Fine motor skills and dexterity for precise small-part assembly?

What you’ll build

• Electrical control racks, panels, and mounted parts for passenger coaches.
• Cable harnesses and wire routing—cut, twist, wrap, tie, and terminate to exact specifications.
• Roof sections, air supply racks, and piping assemblies.
• Electro-mechanical subassemblies from drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions.
• Reworked components: you’ll disassemble, modify, refurbish, and reassemble as needed.

• Frequent walking; reaching; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Regular overhead work.
• Occasional lifting and moving up to 40 pounds.
• Vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to focus.

Pay transparency

Base hourly rate (Lexington, NC): $18.00– $22.14. Final rate may be higher or lower based on budget, and your experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
