Wire Harness Assembly Technician
Full-Time | $19.00/hr | Elkhart, IN
We are seeking an experienced Wire Harness Assembly Technician to join our team in Elkhart, IN. The ideal candidate will have prior wire harness or electro-mechanical assembly experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to build quality assemblies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble wire harnesses using nail boards, drawings, wire lists, and work instructions
- Route wiring and complete electrical assemblies, cabinets, and control panels
- Operate crimp presses, wire strippers, and precision hand tools
- Perform testing, inspections, troubleshooting, and rework as needed
- Maintain quality, safety, and production standards
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of wire harness or electro-mechanical assembly experience preferred
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed instructions
- Strong attention to detail, hand dexterity, and basic computer/math skills
- IPC/J-STD certifications and MRP experience a plus
