    About the Role

    • Fabricate prototype low-voltage and high-voltage wire harnesses for development vehicles, test vehicles, benches, and electrical systems
    • Build harnesses from electrical schematics, wiring tables, harness drawings, connector definitions, and engineering instructions
    • Cut, strip, crimp, splice, solder, seal, label, bundle, and protect wiring in accordance with engineering and workmanship requirements
    • Install prototype harnesses and electrical components into development vehicles
    • Perform electrical retrofits and wiring modifications on existing vehicles to support design changes, testing, troubleshooting, and vehicle upgrades
    • Remove and replace terminals, connectors, wiring, protection materials, and electrical components as required

    • Troubleshoot open circuits, short circuits, terminal issues, incorrect pinouts, communication faults, and other vehicle electrical problems
    • Identify issues with drawings, parts, tooling, or installation instructions and provide feedback to engineering
    • Support prototype vehicle builds, engineering development activities, validation testing, and root-cause investigations
    • Maintain accurate records of vehicle modifications, harness revisions, deviations, and completed work
    • Work closely with wiring DREs, electrical engineers, vehicle technicians, manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve build and installation issues
    • Maintain harness-build tools, electrical test equipment, terminals, connectors, wire, and prototype materials
    • Follow established electrical-safety procedures, including high-voltage lockout and verification requirements when applicable

    • Understanding of proper wire routing, circuit protection, grounding, strain relief, abrasion protection, and sealing practices
    • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to document build issues and communicate required design changes to engineering
    • Experience working safely around high-voltage vehicle systems is preferred
