Wire Processor

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the care and maintenance of all perishable tooling fixtures and wire processing machinery.  
• Cuts and marks wire per drawing and program specifications with the appropriate equipment
• Maintains a high level of quality and productivity in all wire marking and cutting operations.
• Use existing maintenance logs to track all machine maintenance.
• Assist at times in set up of production personnel on the work floor.
• All “PR” status wire / tubing orders shall be cut / finished daily.
• Advanced knowledge of IPC Training Modules.
• Stage work orders
• Strip wire using wire stripping machine
• Responsible for maintaining a clean work area

Required Skills/Abilities:

• High attention to detail is required
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, with the ability to speak and understand English
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers
• Must be able to convert units of measurement
• Time management
• Knowledge of operating crimping press, computer micrometer, scales, and other measuring devices
• Read and interpret schematic drawings diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, reports to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions
• Must be required to read measuring devices such as rulers, micrometers, calipers, scales, and use magnifying aids
• Critical thinking, required to troubleshoot machine issues
